Tems has solidified her position as the most certified Nigerian female artist in the United States after earning her third RIAA platinum certification. Her hit single “Found” featuring Brent Faiyaz has now sold over one million copies in the US, earning an official RIAA platinum plaque.
“Found,” which was released on her 2021 EP If Orange Was A Place, has enjoyed significant commercial success. It has amassed over 119 million streams on Spotify, making it one of her most streamed tracks.
This new achievement adds to her already impressive list of certifications, which includes platinum plaques for her collaborations on Future’s “Wait For U” and her own hit “Free Mind.” Additionally, Tems recently earned gold certifications for her Billboard Hot 100-charting song “Higher” and her EP For Broken Ears, becoming the first Nigerian female artist to receive an RIAA gold-certified album.
With this latest accolade, Tems joins Rema and Wizkid as one of the few Nigerian artists with RIAA-certified projects, with Wizkid’s Made in Lagos and Rema’s Raves & Roses also earning gold certifications.
