APP Makes Inroad in Jigawa, Wins Councillorship Seat After Rivers Success

-

The Action Peoples Party (APP) has achieved a significant milestone in Jigawa State, winning a councillorship seat in the state’s recent local government elections. This victory follows the party’s impressive performance in Rivers State, where it won 22 out of 23 chairmanship positions and 314 out of 317 councillorship seats last month.

Hon. Auwalu Muhammad Harbo, Chairman of the Jigawa State Independent Electoral Commission, announced that Usman Alhaji Ali of APP was elected as the councilor for Buntusu Ward in the Gwiwa Local Government Area. The certificate of return was issued on October 6, 2024.

Reacting to the win, Barrister Uchenna Nnadi, National Chairman of APP, expressed his gratitude to the people of Gwiwa Local Government for their trust, assuring that the newly elected councilor would provide quality leadership. He emphasized that the party’s success in Jigawa, coupled with its landslide victory in Rivers, signals that APP is poised for greater success in future elections across Nigeria.

Nnadi stated, “We are steadily moving forward. This victory is a testament to the growing support for our party, and I am confident that we will continue to perform well in other regions in the future.” He called on all party stakeholders to unite for stronger performance across Nigeria.
