James Sule, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Police Affairs, has retired after 35 years of service, urging senior directors to prioritize mentoring junior officers for enhanced service delivery.
At a send-forth ceremony in Abuja, Sule emphasized the importance of leadership and adherence to organizational rules. He called on leaders at all levels to positively impact their communities and guide younger colleagues toward accountability and fairness.
“Leadership is key. Whether you are a union leader, assistant director, or principal officer, strive to be fair, transparent, and impactful in your duties,” Sule stated.
In his farewell remarks, Sule expressed gratitude to the ministry’s management and staff for their support during his tenure. “It has been a privilege to work with such a dedicated team. Together, we achieved significant milestones,” he noted.
Yusuf Abubakar Argungu, the Director overseeing the Permanent Secretary’s Office, commended Sule for his mentorship and contributions, describing his retirement as the beginning of a new journey.
“Your legacy of guidance and leadership will remain a cornerstone for us. We wish you a fulfilling retirement,” Argungu remarked.
Sule’s departure marks the end of a distinguished career dedicated to public service and nation-building.
