The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State has refuted claims that Federal Government palliatives are being distributed exclusively by party members.
State Chairman Abdullahi Abbas explained that the reconstitution of the palliative committee was a response to President Bola Tinubu’s dissatisfaction with the prior distribution efforts. Abbas addressed statements made by New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) leader Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, accusing the NNPP government of impeding federal poverty alleviation initiatives.
Abbas alleged that previous palliative measures approved by President Tinubu were misappropriated by those responsible for their distribution. He cited scandals involving NNPP officials as evidence that palliatives did not reach intended recipients.
He urged Kwankwaso to call for an investigation into the alleged diversion of palliatives to hold accountable those responsible.
