Stella Maris Okafor, the wife of Nollywood actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, has voiced her concerns about her adopted daughter Jasmine attempting to oust her from her marriage.
Recent reports suggested a conflict between Stella and Jasmine over the donations Mr Ibu has been receiving during his illness. Allegedly, Jasmine intended to control the donated funds for her own extravagant lifestyle, including aspirations to buy an iPhone 15 and new cars.
In response to these allegations, Stella Maris dismissed the claims as malicious lies orchestrated by Jasmine to make her an outsider in her own home. She pledged to address the interference in her family affairs when the time is right but emphasized that her husband’s health is the top priority.
Stella Maris had previously sought help on social media, accusing Jasmine of taking advantage of Mr Ibu’s health condition and posing as one of his children to control his finances and social media accounts. This situation led to a public clash, with Stella Maris retracting her statements after reconciliation, referring to Jasmine as her daughter.
Amidst the family drama, John Okafor has been hospitalized for weeks, facing health challenges that required seven surgeries and the amputation of one of his legs. The actor, known for his comedic roles, celebrated his 66th birthday in the hospital.
