Ilebaye Odiniya, the victorious participant of the Big Brother Naija All Stars show, has opened up about the significance of the cowrie shells she brought into the Biggie’s House during the competition. The Kogi-born model shared this personal insight during an appearance on Pulse’s “One On One” show, hosted by fellow reality star Christy O.
Ilebaye explained that she carries and engages with the cowrie shells as a way to keep the memory of her late brother alive. When asked about the online claim made by CeeC regarding her interactions with the cowries, Ilebaye responded:
“I had something precious to me. Because obviously, you are supposed to have something precious when you’re doing something that you miss at home. And the cowries were for my late brother. It has been with me, and even the baton. I have a baton on him too. I didn’t know where to keep it. I was just like, Oh! Let me hold something strong. It just helps me feel like he [my late brother] is around. He is still with me,” she added.
