Former Sweden head coach Janne Andersson has revealed why he turned down an opportunity to manage Nigeria’s Super Eagles. Andersson was among the top candidates considered for the role this past summer.
In an interview with Swedish newspaper *Hallandsposten*, the 62-year-old explained that while the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) was persistent in offering him the job, the contract terms didn’t feel right. “There were many appealing aspects, but the overall situation wasn’t perfect. It has to feel 100 percent right for me to fully commit,” he said.
Andersson also mentioned he is being selective about his next coaching move, focusing on mentorship and board roles for now.
