Former Nigerian international Victor Moses has made a surprising return to English football, joining Luton Town. The 33-year-old winger became a free agent this summer after leaving Spartak Moscow.
Luton Town manager Rob Edwards expressed optimism about Moses’s impact on the team. “Victor is someone we’ve been considering for a while,” Edwards said. “He trained with us last week and played 60 minutes in a behind-closed-doors match. We believe he can contribute significantly to our promotion efforts.”
Edwards highlighted Moses’s versatility and experience, noting his ability to play on either flank or as an attacking midfielder. “His extensive experience across various clubs and systems makes him tactically astute. We expect him to provide strong competition and depth,” Edwards added.
Before his stint in Russia, Moses had a notable career at Chelsea, where he won the Premier League and FA Cup in 2017 and 2018, and the Europa League in the 2012/13 season. Although much of his time at Stamford Bridge involved loan spells with clubs like Liverpool, Inter Milan, West Ham, Stoke, and Fenerbahce, his impact at Chelsea remains significant.
