Former Vice President and PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has called on Ondo State voters to support the PDP’s candidate, Hon. Ajayi, in the November 16 governorship election. Atiku argued that the All Progressives Congress (APC) lacks popular support in Ondo State, urging the people to choose a candidate focused on their welfare.
In a statement by his media aide, Paul Ibe, Atiku described Ajayi as an experienced politician capable of addressing the needs of Ondo residents. “This election provides an opportunity for Ondo State to uplift its condition and foster prosperity under PDP leadership,” Atiku stated.
Atiku further criticized APC, saying, “The APC is a grossly unpopular party with little regard for the people’s interests.” He encouraged Ondo residents to vote decisively against the APC, highlighting the PDP’s commitment to opposing any electoral malpractice.
He also warned election officials to conduct the election fairly, affirming that PDP will stand against any attempts to suppress the will of the electorate.
