Ahmed Musa is eager to increase his goal tally for Kano Pillars following a stellar performance in his third stint with the club. Musa shone brightly as the four-time Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions defeated Sunshine Stars 2-0 at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium on Sunday.
The 31-year-old forward scored two goals in the match, netting in the fifth and 51st minutes. He also won a penalty in the 71st minute, which he unfortunately failed to convert.
Expressing his joy after the victory, Musa thanked the backroom staff, his teammates, and the management of Kano Pillars FC for their support and belief in him. “Back in familiar colors, and it feels so good! Grateful to the entire backroom staff, my teammates, management of Kano Pillars FC for believing in me and giving me this opportunity to return,” he shared on X.
He also extended his gratitude to the passionate supporters, stating, “To the amazing supporters and everyone who came out to watch, thank you for the love and energy! Scoring two goals and earning that penalty was just the start – we’ve got a lot more coming!” Musa’s determination signals an exciting season ahead for both him and Kano Pillars.
