However, Netflix took the initiative and released the full trailer for *Seven Doors* on its official Instagram page, causing frustration among fans and colleagues alike.
Chioma Akpotha was one of the first to express her dissatisfaction, posting on Instagram, “@naijaonnetflix Guys, like WTH! Do you not know what timing is? @femiadebayosalami had set the ball rolling by dropping teasers, and people were already anticipating, only for it to be messed up by the full trailer release here… JUST LIKE THAT?! Do you not know what being strategic is? Kai.”
Others, including nollywoodcitadel and hyrishtheebigdeal, also criticized Netflix for not aligning with the producer’s promotional strategy, with one user remarking, “At least una for align with the producer’s promotion tactics na.”
Femi Adebayo’s previous film, Jagun Jagun, received positive reviews, and he had expressed his appreciation for the reception, urging fans not to share spoilers. His latest project, Seven Doors, is now poised to face further scrutiny after Netflix’s unexpected move.
