Veteran singer 2face Idibia has left his wife, Nollywood actress Annie Idibia, absolutely delighted with a heartwarming gesture. He made a video of himself singing in Annie’s hometown language, and she couldn’t help but share the moment on her Instagram page.
Annie Idibia revealed in her post that their busy schedules had caused them to miss each other’s phone calls. However, 2face found a sweet and alternative way to communicate with her.
She acknowledged that her sharing the video might not make 2face particularly happy, but she couldn’t resist highlighting the adorable effort he had put into singing in her language. Annie expressed her joy at 2face’s willingness to learn her language and how brilliantly he incorporated it into his songs.
In the video, 2face sang in Annie’s language, which is Akwa Ibom, and the lyrics conveyed messages of love and affection. Annie’s post emphasized the deep connection and love shared between them.
In her words:
“And so this happened 2 nights ago. I know ‘A guy’ is gonna kill me for this (oh well…, All Die na Die). Been missing each other’s phone calls, due to our tight schedules, etc!!!! And he sent this!!”
Annie then shared the lyrics and their meanings from the song:
“They know me from Akwa Ibom—’Just look at that.’
They know me from Akwa Ibom—’their love is blazing/fire.’
They know me from Akwa Ibom—’Love lives there.’
They know me from Akwa Ibom—’This Is Love.’
‘It is Love.’
@official2baba Awwww baby, it is soooooooo cute how you make an effort to learn my language and still use it soooooo brilliantly in your songs.”
The post highlighted the couple’s affection and the effort 2face has made to embrace Annie’s culture and language.
