On Friday, April 11, 2025, an explosion occurred at a CCTV camera dealer’s shop on Kodesho Street in Computer Village, Ikeja, Lagos, injuring five individuals. The Lagos State Police Command reported that the incident took place around 6:35 p.m. Emergency responders, including the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Unit, Mobile Police Detachment, and conventional police teams, promptly secured the area. The injured were transported to Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) for medical treatment. The Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, visited the scene shortly after the incident. While investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the explosion, authorities have assured the public that the area is now safe and urged residents to remain calm.
