Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh is determined to seek justice for the late singer Mohbad, following the arrest of Naira Marley, his former record label boss. Naira Marley announced his return to Lagos to assist in the ongoing investigation into Mohbad’s death, but Tonto Dikeh expressed skepticism about his confidence, suggesting he might have political connections protecting him. She warned these “underdogs” to either drop their support for Naira Marley or face exposure to the public.
Tonto Dikeh also criticized the Nigerian police for their handling of the case, particularly the arrest of Naira Marley’s aide, Sam Larry. Sam Larry had denied involvement in Mohbad’s death and claimed he had paid Mohbad for a performance that never happened. Tonto Dikeh called out the police for what she perceived as inconsistency in their statements and emphasized the importance of obtaining justice for Mohbad.
Additionally, Tonto Dikeh took issue with former presidential media aide Reno Omokri’s interview with Naira Marley, suggesting it was a planned affair between the two. She posed ten questions for Omokri in response to the interview.
