Television personality Toke Makinwa has delivered a message of caution to women about making unrealistic demands on the men they are in relationships with. She emphasized that it’s inappropriate for a woman to expect a man to provide things she cannot afford herself.
During a recent episode of her talk show, “Toke Moments,” she urged women to avoid pressuring their partners.
Toke Makinwa gave an example: “If you’re living in an area like Mushin and you’re pressuring a guy to buy you a house in Banana Island, it doesn’t make sense. Can you afford it? Can you even move out of where you currently live?”
She went on to explain that if a man is willing to meet a woman halfway and she’s ambitious, hardworking, and making an effort to achieve her dreams, then it’s reasonable to have a conversation about working together to improve their circumstances.
She also acknowledged that it’s because of women making unrealistic demands that some men make negative generalizations about all women.
