Nollywood actor Timini Egbuson has issued a stern warning to fans who have been sliding into his DMs to ask for money. In a recent post, the actor shared a message from a fan who requested money for breakfast, identifying herself as a member of the viral “Chosen” trend.
Annoyed by the constant requests, Timini responded by threatening to block any “Chosen” members who begged him for money, adding that he does not find the trend amusing.
This situation mirrors a recent encounter involving fellow artist Peruzzi, who faced backlash for verbally abusing a “Chosen” member who had also asked him for money. However, Timini has garnered support from netizens, with many agreeing that the begging trend has gone too far.
Social media reactions varied, with some users defending Timini’s stance, while others criticized the trend itself. Comments ranged from “This is subtle begging” to “Nigerians don’t know when to stop,” expressing frustration over how far the “Chosen” jokes have spread.
Despite the backlash, some fans continued to joke about the situation, with one user humorously declaring, “I am chosen. You can’t block me!”

Ghanaian Nollywood actor Van Vicker has marked his 21st wedding anniversary with his wife, Adjoa Van Vicker, sharing heartfelt reflections on their journey together. Award-winning artist Davido has declared his fourth album, *Timeless*, as his best work to date. In an interview with comedian and actor Broda Shaggi during the unveiling of his new Puma collection, Davido discussed his fashion choices and shared insights about his music.
Reflecting on his style, Davido stated, “They say I like to dress like a rapper because I love urban fashion. I love wearing T-shirts, jeans, and sneakers to look comfortable. You will find me in a suit when it’s time to collect money. Sometimes, I also wear Agbada.”
Released on March 31, 2023, *Timeless* achieved remarkable success, setting records for first-day and first-week streams on platforms like Spotify Nigeria, Audiomack, Boomplay, and YouTube. The film *dire, featuring Kehinde Bankole, has garnered four nominations at the Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards. FilmOne Entertainment announced this achievement via their Instagram, highlighting the film’s exceptional cinematography and performances.
