The Director General National Orientation Agency NOA, Dr. Garba Abari, has urged Nigerians to champion their efforts towards uniting the country and ensuring a peaceful 2023 general elections.
He made the call in Abuja on Wednesday, during the public presentation to commemorate this year’s international day of peace organized by the Nigerian peace Corp with the theme “End Racism build Peace”.

Dr. Garba Abari represented by a Deputy Director in the Agency Mr.Williams Borgu, said the appeal became imperative in view of the fact that political campaigns would soon commence across the country, pointing out that citizens must promote peace and imbibe political tolerance for free, fair and peaceful 2023 general election.
The Covener, the Commandant General of the Nigerian Peace Corp, Dr. Mustapha Muhammed while cautioning Nigerians to be more security conscious, pledged that the corp, will continue to support other security agencies in the area of intelligence gathering to address security challenges in the country.
Also speaking the Ambassador Special Envoy, Hussain Coomassie, described the event as an apt approach, while also emphasising on the need for Nigerian youths to be law abiding and always use dialogue to channel grievances for sustainable peaceful coexistence.
