A somber atmosphere surrounds fans, loved ones, family, and friends of the veteran actor, John Okafor, affectionately known as Mr. Ibu, as reports circulate that his leg has been amputated.

The distressing news was revealed by social media activist, Very Dark Man, in a widely shared video. He expressed his deep sadness at the situation and shed light on the actor’s plight.

According to Very Dark Man, Mr. Ibu’s family, friends, and close associates had abandoned him during a time when he needed their support. He asserted that they had taken advantage of the ailing actor, leading to the unfortunate amputation of his leg.

In his words: “Hello guys, as I speak to you now, they just finished amputating Mr. Ibu’s leg. To be very honest this is very sad news, because of a lot of things that have been happening surrounding what led to this point that they had to cut his legs. In summary, I will say everyone around him, including his family, wanted to use him. Both friends, they all took advantage of him. Then when he needed support, nobody was there.”

The news has left many in sorrow, and social media has been inundated with expressions of grief and empathy.

One user, Ehidiahmen Okojie, lamented, “Shit. This is really painful, this leg finally took his career.”

Another, Royalties Preshy, simply said, “It’s well.”

Some raised questions about healthcare in the country, with Enny Bobo Official writing, “Omo!! Chai, Kai. This country suppose have health insurance now!! It would have prevented this since the beginning of the sickness.”

Others, like Simeon Delight, expressed their sympathy: “So they finally cut the leg. God, this is so sad. I wish him and his family all the strength they need to go through this phase of life.”

While the situation is undoubtedly tragic, some users found solace in the fact that Mr. Ibu’s life has been preserved. Teeto Olayeni noted, “It’s Soo sad but honestly it’s better than him losing his life. The sickness must have been there for a long time and wasn’t properly taken care of.”

Several users suggested that prosthetic covers for the leg could help Mr. Ibu regain mobility, with Kennedy Excel writing, “Chai sorry thank God you’re still alive sir he can still use a prosthetic cover leg to walk again.”

The news comes on the heels of Mr. Ibu’s recent health update, where he revealed that he had undergone five successful surgeries and was still recovering in the ICU. He expressed his need for stabilization to enable him to travel abroad for advanced treatment.
