Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter Chibuzo Nelson Azubuike, widely known as Phyno, has sparked a buzz on social media with his candid revelation about the music industry.
During a recent interview, the Enugu-born artist opened up about his early struggles in the industry and the shocking advice he received to join a cult to boost his career. However, Phyno made it clear that he never opted for the easy path. When friends suggested that he join a cult or make certain sacrifices for fame, he firmly rejected such propositions.
Phyno’s success story was built on self-belief and a relentless work ethic, which eventually paid off.
He took the opportunity to offer advice to up-and-coming artists, emphasizing the importance of avoiding shortcuts to success. Phyno stated, “Some people look at us today and think we got it easy, Not at all. I’ve never loved easy things. Before many people heard of Phyno, I’d had songs that no one knew existed. A couple of friends told me to blow, I must join a cult or sacrifice something or someone, I told them the price was too much. I’ll never do such. I believed in myself and the power of hard work, I started little and today I thank God.”

Award-winning artist Davido has declared his fourth album, *Timeless*, as his best work to date. In an interview with comedian and actor Broda Shaggi during the unveiling of his new Puma collection, Davido discussed his fashion choices and shared insights about his music.
Reflecting on his style, Davido stated, “They say I like to dress like a rapper because I love urban fashion. I love wearing T-shirts, jeans, and sneakers to look comfortable. You will find me in a suit when it’s time to collect money. Sometimes, I also wear Agbada.”
Released on March 31, 2023, *Timeless* achieved remarkable success, setting records for first-day and first-week streams on platforms like Spotify Nigeria, Audiomack, Boomplay, and YouTube.
