“Investigation Update: Primeboy Turns Himself In After Being Declared Wanted in Mohbad’s Case”
In a significant development related to the investigation into the tragic death of Ilorioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad, Owodunni Ibrahim, also known as Primeboy, has voluntarily surrendered to the police.
This comes after the Lagos State Police Command had issued a warrant for Primeboy’s arrest due to his failure to respond to their invitation regarding the ongoing inquiry into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s untimely passing. Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed this development in a recent statement.
The statement, released yesterday, provided a description of Primeboy as a male individual approximately 1.64 meters tall, with a dark complexion, tribal marks, and of Yoruba ethnicity. It also mentioned his last known address as 3rd Power, Oke Eletu, Ikorodu, and included a contact number for anyone with information about his whereabouts to share it with the police.
Notably, the Commissioner of Police for the Lagos State Command, CP Idowu Owohunwa, announced a reward of N1,000,000 for anyone who could assist in locating Primeboy. This incentive underscores the gravity of the investigation and the authorities’ commitment to uncovering the truth about Mohbad’s death.
It appears that Primeboy, who was both a close friend of Mohbad and a childhood friend, chose to come forward voluntarily to cooperate with the police. He played a significant role in confirming Mohbad’s tragic demise.
On the evening of September 12th, Primeboy shared a video that showed Mohbad’s lifeless body in the backseat of a car. With tears streaming down his face, he uttered the heartbreaking words, “Mohbad is dead,” marking the initial confirmation of the artist’s passing.
Following the video, Primeboy had retreated from the public eye, raising questions about his whereabouts and sparking calls for his assistance in the investigation. Given that he was one of the last individuals seen with Mohbad, his involvement in the inquiry is crucial.
