Ijeoma Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, is celebrating the second anniversary of her Big Brother Naija season 7 victory. The former reality star turned actress took to Instagram to mark the occasion, sharing bold photos of herself alongside a cake to commemorate her win.
Expressing her gratitude to her fanbase, Phynation, Phyna celebrated another year of embracing her uniqueness. She thanked her supporters for standing by her, despite her imperfections, calling them a “match made in heaven.”
In her heartfelt post, she wrote: “My heart belongs to me today and always. Happy anniversary to me, and cheers to another year of tolerating my weirdness. Thanks for not giving up on me despite my flaws! I love you all more than cake, and that’s saying a lot.”
Phyna also reflected on the challenges she has faced since winning the show, including losing 17 brand deals due to controversies. Last year, she opened up about how a false accusation involving her and Groovy led to brands distancing themselves from her. Despite this, Phyna remained unapologetically confident, revealing she turned down a N5 million offer from a man at a nightclub, stating that such money is “chicken change” to her.
Her journey, while turbulent at times, is one Phyna continues to embrace, always choosing to stand strong in her individuality and loyalty to her fans.
