Victor Osimhen has joined the Super Eagles camp in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, ahead of Saturday’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Benin Republic. The 25-year-old striker, who recently signed with Galatasaray, arrived from Turkey on Thursday evening to prepare with his teammates.
Under the guidance of interim coach Augustine Eguavoen, the Super Eagles will face Benin Republic before traveling to Kigali to play Rwanda three days later. Osimhen’s arrival was announced on the Super Eagles’ official X account with a video captioned, “See who’s here! #victorosimhen9! On time for training #soarsupereagles.”
