High Expectations as Jennifer Adighije Takes Over at NDPHC

-

Jennifer Adighije has officially assumed the role of Managing Director and CEO of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC), succeeding Chiedu Ugbo. Her appointment marks the beginning of a new era for the company, as it continues its mission to power Nigeria.

Adighije inherits a strong legacy of progress in the energy sector, with NDPHC contributing significantly to the national grid and stabilizing electricity generation. Her predecessors, Chiedu Ugbo and James Olotu, laid the foundation for critical infrastructure, including power plants and transmission networks, through the National Integrated Power Project (NIPP). However, Adighije faces the challenge of consolidating these achievements and steering the company toward greater efficiency and innovation.

With a background in electrical engineering and telecommunications, Adighije brings a fresh perspective. Her focus on optimizing asset performance, improving processes, and leveraging technology is aligned with the government’s goal to increase electricity generation to 6,000 megawatts by the end of 2024. Her leadership promises to not only sustain NDPHC’s contributions but also elevate its role in Nigeria’s energy future.
