In a thrilling final, Omuo-Oke High School from Omuo Ekiti emerged as the champions of the 2024 Agbeyewa Cup, defeating Government College, Ado Ekiti, with a narrow 1-0 victory. The champions received N1.1 million, a trophy, and gold medals, while runners-up Government College were awarded N500,000 and silver medals. Ifaki Grammar School took third place, earning N250,000 and bronze medals.
Alhaji Dauda Lawal, Community Communication Manager of Cavista Holdings, the tournament’s sponsor, expressed pride in supporting youth sports and talent discovery in Ekiti State. Modeled after the historic Principals Cup, the competition featured over 150 schools and highlighted emerging talents in the region.
Dignitaries in attendance included members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, officials from the State Sports Commission, and prominent royal figures.
