Netflix’s annual event, *Lights, Camera… Naija!*, returned with grandeur on November 2, 2024, celebrating the brightest stars of Nollywood. The event, which showcased the best of Nigerian cinema, honored the Pioneers, Pillars, and Players of the industry—those who have shaped Nollywood both on and off the screen.
The night saw dazzling fashion moments, with guests arriving in cabaret chic outfits, from sequined gowns to bold tailored suits. Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the charismatic host, kept the audience entertained with his lively commentary.
The celebration focused on three key categories: Pioneers, the trailblazers who laid the foundation of Nollywood; Pillars, the behind-the-scenes talent; and Players, the on-screen actors who captivate audiences. The event also featured a performance by popular music acts, Victony and Sharpband.
Among the distinguished guests was the Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, Barr. Hannatu Musa Musawa, who joined Ben Amadasun, Netflix VP of Content for the Middle East and Africa. The event was a spectacular tribute to the creativity, artistry, and community that have made Nollywood a global force.
This year’s edition of *Lights, Camera… Naija!* was undoubtedly a dazzling celebration of the Nigerian film industry’s past, present, and future.
