Some areas may have localised visibility of less than 1km throughout the period.
The North Central and inland cities in the South are expected to experience dust haze with visibility ranging from 2km to 5km. Meanwhile, coastal regions will have hazy conditions with patches of clouds during the forecast period.
On Tuesday, NiMet predicts that dust haze will continue in the northern region, with visibility ranging from 2km to 5km and some localised areas having visibility less than or equal to 1km. The North Central and inland cities in the South will also experience dust haze with similar visibility conditions, while the coastal regions will remain hazy with clouds.
For Wednesday, NiMet anticipates dust haze in the northern region with good visibility, while the North Central and inland regions will continue to experience dust haze with visibility ranging from 2km to 5km. Coastal areas will still experience hazy conditions with occasional cloud cover.
The agency has advised the public to take necessary precautions due to the suspension of dust particles in the air. Airline operators are also urged to obtain airport-specific weather reports from NiMet to ensure proper planning for flight operations.
