NASC Appoints Kamoru Ogunlana as National Assembly Clerk

-

The National Assembly Service Commission (NASC) has appointed Kamoru Ogunlana as the substantive Clerk to the National Assembly, following the approved retirement of Mr. Sani Magaji Tambuwal.

A statement from NASC Deputy Director, Emmanuel Anyigor, confirmed Ogunlana’s appointment, which will take effect on 2nd February 2025. This decision was made at the Commission’s 610th meeting on 6th November 2024, as stated in a letter signed by the Commission’s Executive Chairman, Engr. Ahmed Amshi.

Ogunlana, formerly the Deputy Clerk, was recognized for his dedication and administrative skills. The letter urged him to work diligently to justify the trust placed in him.

The Commission also acknowledged the contributions of the outgoing Clerk, Tambuwal. As he proceeds on pre-retirement leave, Ogunlana will oversee the office of the Clerk to ensure a smooth transition until he officially assumes office in February.
