Napoli and Chelsea are set to meet in London on Thursday to negotiate a deal for Romelu Lukaku. The Serie A club made an official bid for the Belgian striker on Monday; however, the proposal was not initially accepted.

According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the bid is still under consideration, with both clubs optimistic about reaching an agreement. The meeting aims to finalize the terms and conditions of the transfer, with the hope of closing the deal soon.

Romano noted on X (formerly Twitter), “Napoli will meet Chelsea today in London as they want to get the Romelu Lukaku deal done even before finding a solution to sell Victor Osimhen. Official bid sent on Monday, not accepted but being discussed with terms and conditions… as Napoli want to get it done.”

The urgency of securing Lukaku’s transfer comes as Napoli also looks to resolve the future of their star striker, Victor Osimhen. The Nigerian forward is expected to leave Napoli, and the club aims to address Lukaku’s transfer before finalizing any decisions regarding Osimhen’s departure.
