Manchester United are on the verge of signing Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte, with the transfer expected to cost around £51 million (€60 million), according to GFFN.
Ugarte, who was acquired by PSG from Sporting for €60 million last year, has caught the attention of United’s manager Erik ten Hag. Despite a promising start to his stint with PSG, Ugarte has fallen out of favor with new manager Luis Enrique and was omitted from PSG’s Ligue 1 opener against Le Havre.
United are looking to bolster their midfield, and ten Hag believes the 23-year-old Ugarte could play a crucial role at Old Trafford. The deal, reflecting the same valuation PSG placed on Ugarte, is nearing completion as Manchester United aim to finalize the transfer.
