Nollywood actress Moyo Lawal has opened up about why she refrains from wearing short clothes or leaving her house. The actress shared a video on her Instagram, twerking at the premiere of Thinline, and explained that she avoids wearing short outfits because they make it too easy for her to get caught up in such moments at events.
Moyo stated, “This is why I never wear short things out or leave my house… Then you give me a dress code like Sincityglam (Risqué and racy).” She added a playful note about doing her own makeup for the event and thanked designer @gwillsdesigns for her outfit.
Last year, Moyo faced significant online backlash after a private tape of hers was leaked, with many criticizing her for allowing it to happen. In response, she issued a public statement, revealing that the video was filmed with her ex-fiancé, and she was pursuing legal action for the breach of her privacy.
Despite the controversy, some colleagues, like Mary Njoku, showed support, criticizing the public for blaming Moyo and calling for compassion.
