-

On October 17, 2024, Ministers Festus Keyamo (Aviation and Aerospace Development) and Senator Heineken Lokpobiri (Petroleum Resources) will unveil Nigeria’s largest aviation fuel depot near Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos. The facility, known as the Joint User Hydrant Installation 2 (JUHI-2), boasts a 15 million-litre capacity and will serve as a vital hub for jet fuel storage and supply to nearby airports.

According to Masters Energy Group Managing Director Patience Dappa, the depot will enhance fuel supply to domestic, international, and cargo flights. The state-of-the-art facility, covering 46,000 square meters, features cutting-edge filtration systems, a modern laboratory, and advanced fire prevention measures. The project is a joint venture between several energy companies, including Eterna Plc and Techno Oil.
