Following the leaked tape involving Nollywood actress Moyo Lawal, investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo has come forward with serious allegations against the actress.
On her Instagram page, Kemi Olunloyo stated that the man featured in the video, identified as Mr. Saheed Olasunkanmi, was never Moyo Lawal’s boyfriend or fiancé, contrary to what Moyo had claimed. Olunloyo drew a parallel between this situation and a previous incident involving Tiwa Savage when her tape was leaked, alleging that Moyo had lied about her partner’s identity just as Tiwa had done.
Kemi Olunloyo alleged that Saheed had informed her that Moyo Lawal paid him as a gigolo to engage in sexual activity and record the video. Furthermore, Olunloyo claimed that Saheed had been paid by two other Nollywood actresses to film similar tapes, and the names of these actresses were said to be shocking. Olunloyo hinted that this revelation could potentially have significant repercussions within the AGN (Actors Guild of Nigeria) and TAMPAN (Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria).
This revelation from Kemi Olunloyo comes shortly after Moyo Lawal released a public statement addressing the leaked tape. Moyo emphasized that the video was released without her consent, a breach of her privacy and trust. She clarified that the video featured her ex-partner, with whom she had plans to marry, and it was never intended for public consumption. Moyo Lawal threatened legal action against those responsible for the unauthorized distribution of the video.
Several of Moyo’s colleagues, including Mary Njoku, Uche Maduagwu, and Prince Eke, have also weighed in on the situation, with varying perspectives on the matter. Mary Njoku criticized those who blamed the victims in such cases, while Uche Maduagwu called for Moyo Lawal’s suspension from AGN. Prince Eke questioned whether any brands would continue to associate with the actress.
