Kemi expressed how Murphy was a devoted admirer of her craft, always punctual for her events and ready to lend his support. She revealed that his words of encouragement during her health challenges continued to resonate in her ears after his passing, bringing tears to her eyes. He had assured her that people were praying for her, saying, “Omo baba mi, ko si iku loju e.”
In her tribute, she hailed Murphy as a handsome fashionista, a talented actor, a compelling storyteller, a prolific producer, and an exceptional director. While acknowledging their occasional differences, Kemi emphasized how Murphy’s sweet and forgiving nature always prevailed in mending their disagreements.
She concluded by expressing her profound sadness at not being able to see him again in this life, hoping for a reunion in another life.

Murphy Afolabi passed away in May after an unfortunate accident in his bathroom, where he slipped and hit his head on a hard surface. He was laid to rest the following day.
