Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has established a committee to investigate the recent fire outbreak at the Government House complex. The fire, which affected a significant portion of the conference hall adjacent to the Governor’s office, was successfully contained by firefighters before it could spread to other areas of the building.
A statement released on Monday by the office of the Secretary to the State Government confirmed the formation of a nine-member committee tasked with determining the cause of the fire, assessing the extent of the damage, identifying any lapses, and recommending measures to prevent future occurrences. The committee has been given one week to submit its report.
Among the committee members are the Head of Service, the Commissioner for Works, Housing, and Transport, the Commissioner for Budget and Planning, as well as the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice.
