Nollywood actress and activist Iyabo Ojo has expressed frustration with her fans, accusing them of showing insincere support similar to that of the Nigerian government.
In a recent Instagram post, Ojo, who is currently abroad, vented her anger over what she perceives as fake love from her followers. She urged them to demonstrate their genuine support by subscribing to her YouTube channel, Iyabo Ojo TV, which she linked in her bio.
Ojo’s post read: “Hello Nigeria, I do land. First of all, I want to address those of you showing me fake love. You are deceiving me like the Nigerian government. If you truly love me, go to YouTube and follow my channel Iyabo Ojo TV, the link is in my bio. Shop2chop is still showing… God bless our hustle. @zamani.nigeria Thanks for the gift. I love the bag, good quality.”
Last week, Ojo also made headlines for her comments on the end bad governance protests, criticizing the president for his lack of response and calling for him to address the nation and listen to its concerns. She questioned the state of democracy if the people’s voices are not being heard.
In addition, Ojo recently received recognition with the Eko Leadership Award for Youth and Empowerment from the Eko Heritage Awards, an honor she expressed deep gratitude for on her Instagram page.
