Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has pledged to capture Ondo, Oyo, and Osun states in the upcoming elections. Speaking at a stakeholders’ meeting in Akure, Ondo State, Ganduje expressed confidence that the APC would dominate the entire Southwest, beginning with the Ondo governorship election scheduled for November 16.
Ganduje stated, “In this geopolitical zone, we must deliver 100 percent in favor of the APC. Ondo State must take the lead, and we will also secure Oyo and Osun, although I won’t disclose our strategies. We are working on a comprehensive plan that will ensure unwavering support for President Bola Tinubu.”
He reaffirmed the party’s support for Governor Aiyedatiwa, announcing that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu would chair the National Campaign Council for the election. “This election is a critical task, and the enthusiasm displayed by the large gathering of stakeholders reflects the unity and strength within our party,” he added.
Ganduje emphasized the need for grassroots mobilization, urging party members to engage with voters directly. “We expect 90 percent of the votes in the upcoming governorship election. It’s essential to visit house to house, neighbor to neighbor, and encourage everyone to come out to vote,” he urged.
