El-Rufai’s Son Denies EFCC Raid Allegations

-

Bello, the eldest son of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, has denied rumors that operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) raided his residence in Kaduna and discovered vast sums of money in different currencies.

The rumors claimed that the EFCC found $800 million, N700 billion in cash, and N1 trillion worth of drugs at his home. In a statement on Wednesday, Bello labeled the allegations as “false” and described them as a deliberate attempt to distract from his public service.

He further clarified that he does not own a house in Kaduna, with his family home being in Unguwar Sarki. Bello also expressed his commitment to representing his constituents honestly and stated that such baseless allegations would not deter his dedication to serving the people of Kaduna North.

He condemned the use of fake news to manipulate public perception and instigate division, calling the attempt to link him to illicit activities a defamatory affront to justice and fairness.
