Shaun Okojie, a recently evicted housemate from Big Brother Naija Season 9, has addressed speculation surrounding his romantic relationship with fellow contestant Wanni, stating that their connection is genuine and not a strategic move.
In an interview following his eviction last Sunday alongside Handi and Tjay, Shaun dismissed claims that his relationship with Wanni was a tactic to gain an advantage in the competition. He explained, “There were many ships in the house. I realized that if anybody’s ship is benefiting them, I don’t think I would have known if it would have been a good strategy or not.”
Shaun, who entered the house with another contestant named Victoria, noted that it would have been easier to pursue a strategy with her. However, he emphasized that his bond with Wanni felt more authentic, saying, “Wanni and I had a more natural connection that we developed in the house.”
Despite the connection, media personality Toke Makinwa has suggested that Shaun and Wanni’s relationship may have ended following their time in the Big Brother house.
