APC Stakeholders Urge Tinubu to Probe Cabinet Members Allegedly Collaborating with Opposition

-

Concerned members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South-South region have urged President Bola Tinubu to investigate certain cabinet members accused of aligning with opposition figures, particularly those from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), ahead of the 2027 elections. Wilfred Ogbotobo, Bayelsa State Coordinator for Good Governance and Accountability, expressed concerns that some cabinet members are neglecting APC loyalists and instead fostering relationships with opposition leaders, which could undermine the party’s interests.

Ogbotobo highlighted the case of Governor Bala Mohammed, who, after receiving support from APC to win his legal challenges, is now allegedly distancing himself from the party. He emphasized the need for President Tinubu to take decisive action to protect the party’s future prospects and ensure that loyal APC members are not sidelined. Ogbotobo also called for unity within the party to successfully navigate upcoming legal battles and elections.
