Anthony Joshua, the renowned British-Nigerian boxer, has openly shared the reason behind residing with his mother at the age of 34. Despite his £15 million victory against Wladimir Klitschko in 2017, Joshua chose to return to his mother’s two-bedroom former government housing.
In a recent interview with Louis Theroux, Joshua emphasized the significance of family in his culture and expressed his reluctance to leave his mother’s home. He highlighted the importance of supporting parents, stating, “Why am I going to move out and leave my mom by herself, for some girl? Family is the most important thing. When a girl gets with me, she ain’t just marrying me, she’s marrying my family.” This reflects Joshua’s strong cultural values and close bond with his family, making it challenging for him to consider living apart from them.
