In a recent interview with TheCable, Alex Iwobi, the Super Eagles midfielder, revealed that he has been making music since he was 14, alongside his professional football career.
Iwobi discussed his passion for music, which he has been sharing with his millions of followers. In March 2024, he unveiled his rap persona, “17,” showcasing his skills with a clip featuring a UK Drill instrumental. He followed this with the release of his track “Don’t Shoot” in June 2024.
Growing up in London, Iwobi noted that it was common to either pursue football or a career in music, and he has actively engaged in both. While many may be surprised by his musical talent, he confirmed that he has been creating music for years and has a collection of unreleased songs. Iwobi stated that his team will determine the right time for future releases.
