Aba Man Escapes Lynching Over Alleged Missing Manhood

-

Tension erupted on Monday in Aba, Abia State, when a man identified as Chiboy claimed his manhood went numb after accepting a N100 gift from a stranger. The incident, which occurred at Osusu Road by Faulks, drew a large crowd as Chiboy raised the alarm, accusing the stranger of causing his predicament.

According to witnesses, the crowd, mostly youths, seized the alleged suspect and threatened to lynch him unless he restored Chiboy’s manhood. Security operatives arrived just in time to prevent mob justice, urging calm and allowing the suspect to address the accusations.

Eyewitnesses claimed the suspect recited incantations, after which Chiboy reported feeling restored. However, the mob demanded further proof of functionality.

“The crowd quickly took Chiboy to a nearby brothel to confirm if the manhood was indeed functional. After several minutes, Chiboy emerged smiling, declaring he was ‘a man again,’” said a resident who preferred anonymity.

The incident highlights the persistence of superstitions surrounding “missing manhood” in some communities and the dangers of mob actions based on such claims.

Authorities have not confirmed whether the suspect will face charges or if further investigations will follow.
