During her Instagram Live session, Chichi, along with a friend, disparaged the Level Up winner, denying any friendship with her. When asked about her relationship with Phyna, Chichi claimed not to know who Phyna was and questioned whether it was a person’s name or a place. She emphasized that she preferred to discuss people rather than engage in trash talk and asserted herself as everyone’s karma. Chichi urged her fans to refrain from mentioning Phyna’s name and expressed her disinterest in hearing any nonsense about her.
Chichi’s comments sparked criticism from some fans, who accused her of needlessly targeting Phyna.
The rift between these reality stars, who were once close friends during the show, escalated when Chichi filed a 100 million Naira lawsuit against Phyna for defamatory statements. Chichi’s lawyers argued that the allegations of poisoning in Cyprus were false, malicious, and damaging to her image.
In response, Phyna explained that her outburst stemmed from hurtful words Chichi used against her, including calling her an abortionist and body-shaming her. Phyna pointed out the irony of being body-shamed by someone who had undergone cosmetic surgery, unlike her own natural physique. She expressed readiness to face the lawsuit in court.
