Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has asserted that leaders chosen by God are more likely to succeed compared to those influenced by satanic forces.
Speaking during a Zoom interactive session tagged *”Boiling Point Arena”* on Sunday, Obasanjo noted that while God prepares many for leadership roles, some leaders are made by Satan.
“Most leaders are prepared by God, and when that happens, their chances of success are higher. However, I don’t believe all leaders are made by God; a leader can also be made by Satan,” he stated.
Citing biblical figures like Joseph, Moses, and David, Obasanjo explained that God often prepares individuals for leadership without their awareness, equipping them with the skills and character required for the role.
He also warned against underestimating Satan’s influence, stating, “Satan is real and powerful to do many things, but he has no salvation. His power must not be underrated.”
Obasanjo emphasized that effective leadership requires preparation and intense training, adding that leaders need to be spiritually and mentally equipped to guide their followers successfully.
The discussion, aired on radio stations in Abeokuta, Ogun State, also touched on Obasanjo’s political legacies and his evaluation of contemporary Nigeria.
