Nigerian music superstar, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has pledged a ₦300 million donation to orphanages and a charity focused on tackling drug abuse and addiction among young people in Nigeria.
The singer shared this announcement on Monday via X, stating: “Once again, my birthday this year, we are donating to orphanages and a charity that helps young people stay away from drug abuse and addiction. This year, it’s ₦300m. Details to follow soon.”
This donation marks another of Davido’s annual birthday charitable efforts. In previous years, he has made significant contributions, including ₦300 million in February to orphanages nationwide and ₦237 million to over 400 orphanages in July 2023. In November 2021, he also donated ₦250 million to 292 orphanages.
Davido’s continued philanthropy highlights his commitment to supporting vulnerable communities across Nigeria.
