Abraham Amah has been elected the new State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State. Previously serving as the State Vice Chairman for Abia North and acting State Publicity Secretary, Amah secured 1,264 votes, defeating his main opponent Olugu Kalu, who received 395 votes.
Hailing from Ihechiowa in Arochukwu Local Government Area, Amah has been vocal in his opposition to the current Labour Party-led administration in Abia. Unlike some of his peers, he has remained loyal to the PDP.
Other newly elected zonal PDP leaders include Onwuka Kalu as Chairman of Abia Central, Enyinnaya Appolos for Abia South, and Abia Elendu Kalu Elendu for Abia North.
