Initiating his challenge on Wednesday, April 17, the Chess in Slum Initiative Africa founder has conquered all opponents, notably prevailing over New York’s National Chess Master, Shawn Martinez.
Onakoya keeps supporters updated via X, expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support he has received.
The chess maestro has garnered over $26,060 (equivalent to over N30 million) in donations. His ongoing 58-hour chess marathon in New York City’s Times Square is being streamed live via Tiltify.
