Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface is attracting interest from several European clubs, including English Premier League side Chelsea, according to Transfer News Live. Boniface currently plays for Bayer Leverkusen, where he joined last season for €20 million from Royale Union SG after a standout campaign in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League.
The Akure-born forward enjoyed a remarkable debut season in the Bundesliga, registering 31 goal involvements in 39 matches—scoring 21 goals and providing 10 assists. His contributions were pivotal in helping Leverkusen clinch the Bundesliga title and the German Cup, though they narrowly missed out on the Europa League title, losing to compatriot Ademola Lookman’s Atalanta in the final.
Boniface has continued his impressive form into the 2024/25 season, netting four goals and assisting once in just six games. His strong start has led to speculation about a potential move, with reports indicating that Chelsea has been scouting him closely.

As Chelsea considers Boniface, Leverkusen aims to retain their striker, having already rebuffed Manchester United’s interest last summer. The Bundesliga champions set a £47 million price tag on Boniface, who is currently valued at €40 million by Transfermarkt. With four years remaining on his contract, Leverkusen is positioned to command a significant fee should they choose to sell.
