Competing among strong contenders, Onuoha’s portrayal of Agatha, the lead character in the supernatural thriller, earned her critical acclaim.
Directed by Moshood Abiola Obatula, Agemo delves into a mysterious world, following Agatha as she grapples with the complex power dynamics and manipulation surrounding her. The film touches on themes of vulnerability and strength, casting light on the societal challenges faced by women.
Onuoha, a rising actress in Nollywood, has previously made a mark in popular titles like *Inside Life* (2022), *If I Am President* (2018), and *Blood Sisters* (2022). Her role in *Agemo*, written by Esther Olayinka, has further solidified her status as a notable talent. Set for public release later this year, *Agemo* also stars Raphael Ayara, Joe Kosoko, Yinka Quadri, and Mojisola Afolayan.
