Troops Arrest Three Suspected Bandits and Logistics Supplier in Taraba

-

Troops from the 6 Brigade Nigerian Army and Sector 3 of Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) have confirmed the arrest of three individuals suspected of involvement in various criminal activities in Taraba State.

The suspects—Adamu Abubakar, Mohammed Bello, and Musa Adamu—were apprehended on October 7, 2024, in Andamin village, located within the Karim Lamido local government area. Additionally, a logistics supplier for a notorious terrorist group was arrested in a separate operation in Lau local government council.

Captain Oni Olubodunde, Acting Spokesperson for the Brigade, stated that a special operation was initiated on October 7 in the Andamin area, leading to the successful capture of suspected bandits in Jeb, a border community between Taraba and Plateau States.

The logistics supplier, identified as Musa Inusa, was reportedly responsible for providing essential supplies to terrorist groups operating in the region. His arrest is anticipated to disrupt their supply chain and weaken their operational capabilities.

Items recovered from Inusa include a jackknife, ₦2,460 in cash, wraps of a substance suspected to be Indian hemp, and other illicit drugs.
